OLD-FASHIONED, TASTY Pizza!
If you haven't tried Big Lou's, you really should. This is some great-tasting pizza; and if you've been looking for that old-fashioned "up north" pizza taste and you've actually been considering calling your favorite NJ pizzeria up long distance and having them FedEx you a pizza because you miss it so bad... Well, stop. You don't have to do that, anymore. You've got that right here, now. So get out there and try these people. You won't regret it.

Big Lou's is witout a doubt the truest, the thin crustiest, "Am I in Jersey?"..."My Gahd, I can smell Brooklyn in the air." kinda pizza that NO ONE, yeah, you know...NO ONE can make a better local pizza then Big Lou's... Eat it wit a fawk, fold like your on the boardwalk in Wildwood or just plain inhale it like you never had pizza in North central Florida this good.

It's about the crust
Big Lou's is some of the best Pizza I have eaten. The crust is perfect. Thin, but not too thin. Crispy but not too crispy. Two slices of pepperoni and a drink are just over $7. Compared to the rest of the so-called NY style slices in Gainesville, Big Lou's is the real deal!

They have the best pizza! Their calzones are good too! The staff is so nice and accommodating and they remember what we order (we are kinda regulars there...). They even offer us to-go drinks and the prices are great! The slices are not small either- they take up 2 plates! 2 slices and a drink for $7.00. Can't beat that these days. I love the medium-thin crispy crust. My favorite topping is pesto!

Always a great time
I love the casual atmosphere of Lou's and the staff. It's always laid back and just a great place to hang out. The food is great, and the portions are huge for the price, a fantastic value. I always get the calzones, which are enormous. The mozzarella salad which is soooo good every time. I've never been disappointed.
I miss Lou's
I have been eating at Lou's at least once a week since it opened. They have the best pizza, calzones, spinach salad and let's not forget the garlic rolls. I have had them cater a banquet and the service is awesome. In June I moved to Spokane, WA and the thing I miss most is Lou's. I have yet to find any pizza place out here that ...
Great food!
Have had several different items off their menu and haven't had anything bad yet. Great big slices of pizza. Stromboli and calzones are very good. They even have great subs. You need to eat here! If you go for lunch, get there before noon as it gets packed.

Try a calzone with chicken and spinach...absolutely wonderful...you will be hooked! Actually anything on the menu will have you hooked! I love it! Definitely worth the price!
it's not about the water
I'm from NY and I've eaten NY pizza - and Big Lou's is NY pizza. Big, sloppy slices with grease that turns the paper plate translucent. Thin, crispy crust. Perfect! I'm satisfied with their plain cheese or pepperoni slices. Their daily specials for 2 slices and a drink are very affordable.

I've lived in Gainesville for 2 weeks and have been to Big Lou's three times. The food is delicious and real NY style Pizza. MY favorite is the Spinach White pizza.
